Beautiful Ceramics from Kim Wallace

Kim Wallace Ceramics
My family and I ventured back to Portarlington this weekend to celebrate Australia day weekend. My Fiancé decided to take his old Ford XC out for a drive (Mad Max style!). The poor thing has been locked up in the garage for 6 months collecting dust. But 10 minutes into the drive, we decided it was not so fun on a 36 degree day with out any air conditioning! Man, oh man, was it hot! But we made it to Portarlington in once piece and I managed to slink away for a little shopping trip too. Bonus!

I discovered some beautiful ceramics for sale in a store in Geelong and instantly feel in love with them. When I found out they were from Kim Wallace Ceramics, I raced home and looked her up on the internet to see what else she had in their range.

Kim Wallace lives on the Sunshine Coast in Australia and works from her studio there. She was born and raised in the Netherlands but has been calling Australia home since 2000. She has a background in Graphic Design but left her job as a senior designer to start her own business making ceramics and never looked back since. Kim often collaborates with other artist to create unique designs for her beautiful range of plates, cups, bowls and christmas decorations.

New Clip Art Sets

Kim Wallace Ceramics
I haven’t managed to get as much done this week due to the long weekend but I managed to finish some requests for Camo Babies and Cowboy Babies! I have also received lots of requests for Seamless digital papers so I have started with two sets. Each of these sets contain 9 separate 12 inch x 12 inch papers plus a tile set of 12. There will be lots more seamless digital paper and pattern sets to come so stay tuned.

New Blog Posts

I have had a lovely customer of mine ask me how to add more ‘space’ around some clip art images she had purchased from me. So I wrote a little tutorial for her and shared it on my blog. I have also written a tutorial on how to change colors quickly and easily in Illustrator. This technique is something that I use very often to test out different color schemes on my digital paper and clip art sets.

What’s to come?

Kim Wallace Ceramics
I am currently working on a new tutorial on how to change the colors of graphics in Photoshop so will hopefully get that posted over the next few days. I am also putting together lots of fun ideas for my Wedding – Yep, that’s right, I finally got a diamond ring! So now I am in a wedding planning frenzy! I found some exciting things at the local Portarlington markets this weekend so I have some great Handmade Wedding ideas I am going to try out and share with you all.

Well, that’s it from me tonight. Until next time X
